Staff Writers

Junior Allie Vaughn is in her first year as a staff writer for the Proconian. She’s a young girl with a passion for binge-watching Netflix, petting dogs, and Mexican food. Her major accomplishments in life include the Participation Award in her sixth grade class’s Field Day, as well as an extensive knowledge of Disney films.

Junior Paul McLaughlin is in his second year as a staff writer for the Proconian. He plays for the school’s varsity soccer team. He also enjoys volunteering and FIFA.  A polar opposite of Brendan, his exciting qualities include writing notoriously short autobiographies.

Senior Jeff Richardson came into Proco two years ago as one of the hottest writers the school newspaper had ever seen. After a year off to explore the meaning of life, Richardson is back at it with more oxford commas than ever.

Brendan Holly is a junior at Chapel Hill High School and first year staff writer for Proconian.  He is a committed soccer player and is the starting center back for the Chapel Hill team.  His love for travel and language have led him across the world, more specifically francophone countries.  He has been described as “drop dead sexy” by his peers and when he’s not furnishing World War II era helicopters, he is writing children’s literature and saving baby pygmy goats from African warlords.

Junior Chloe Grill is enjoying her first year working for the Proconian. She is a founder of the school’s “Houses to Homes” club, as well as a field hockey player and jump roper. Chloe’s favorite color is purple and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends.

Chloe McNeal is a senior at Chapel Hill High School, and is enjoying her first year as a member of the Proconian staff. You might know her as the girl that talks about Camden too much, but really she talks about her hate for Tom Brady just as often. Chloe enjoys playing field hockey as well as watching her teammates play field hockey from the sidelines in her free time. ~2015 Fantasy League Champion~

Sophomore Grace Newton is working her first year as a staff writer for the Proconian. Her hobbies include field hockey, lacrosse, and procrastination from work, especially math.

Sophomore Gillie Weeks is a first year staff writer for the Proconian.  She runs.  Nobody knows why because running is awful.  Gillie is currently considering changing her name to Gilli, so she and fellow staff writer Milly (soon to be Milli) can twin for the Insta.

Daniel Kleissler currently presides as the editor of the Town and World section. When not dedicating his life to Proconian, Daniel can be found running, travelling and chasing butterflies.

Junior Miguel Rivera-Torres is a first year staff writer for the Proconian. He was born in Celaya Guanajuato, Mexico he came to the United state at the age of three. Miguel's favorite band is a psychedelic rock band called Tame Impala. He loves soccer, video games and hanging out with friend in his spare time. If you get to know him well he lets loose and is super friendly.

Junior Jenna Nicotra likes to run, read and spend time with her friends in her free time. She is a founder of the club “I Am That Girl.” Jenna is from Los Angeles, California and plans to return there in the future.

Kristina Kim is a junior at Chapel Hill, currently working her first year as a staff-writer for Proconian.  She is the treasurer of SKJAJA and spends her Wednesdays volunteering at the rehab center in UNC Hospital.  She enjoys spending her free time with her friends.

Senior Berry Rigdon, who is in his first year on the Proconian staff, can be described as “pretty neat”. When Rigdon is not making people laugh, dating lots of girls, being super smart or writing for the newspaper, he is likely listening to music or breaking Nathan’s ankles on the basketball court.
